Breakfast can be a struggle sometimes. You’re either grabbing the quick, highly processed stuff, or it takes too much time to make something else. These biscuits are a staple for Keith and I. They can be made easily in our small space, or when we are out camping. Every person I have ever made them for has asked for the recipe. You absolutely cannot go wrong with these.
And, Who doesn’t love a good biscuit? It’s a great recipe for beginner cooks. Are you looking for a simple and delicious baking project? Look no further than these two-ingredient biscuits! Made with just two pantry staples, these biscuits are incredibly easy to prepare and perfect for a quick and satisfying snack or breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the self-rising flour and cream until just combined. Do not over stir.
- Knead gently: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few turns until it comes together. Over kneading will lead to tougher biscuits.
- Roll out: Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut: I typically cut with a knife and then roughly shape biscuits, but you can use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out the biscuits.
- Bake: Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
See, wasn’t that simple? Aren’t they delicious? Even better….make some sausage and gravy to go with these biscuits. We take the ingredients for these yummy treats on every camping trip. You absolutely cannot go wrong! If you loved these be sure not to miss our Easy Artisan Bread.
